Live Activities, widgets and notifications

Key points

  • When Calm Mode is on, a Live Activity on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island shows your per-purchase limit and when it lifts.

  • Vueni has two widgets, Calm Mode and Stress Score, and both are in Sparkle and Prism.

  • Notifications cover Smart Nudges, declines over your limit, receipt matches, transfers, closing return windows and the end of Calm Mode.

  • Smart Nudges and limit declines are time-sensitive. They come through a Focus only if you allow it in iPhone Settings.

  • You can turn notifications off in iPhone Settings, and remove a widget or a Live Activity at any time.

The Calm Mode Live Activity

When Calm Mode is on, Vueni can show a Live Activity. It sits on your Lock Screen and, on iPhones that have it, in the Dynamic Island.

It shows two things:

  • your per-purchase limit, such as $125;

  • the time the limit lifts, such as 8:00 AM.

If you end Calm Mode early, the Live Activity says so and shows when the limit lifts. When Calm Mode ends, the Live Activity goes away.

Widgets

Vueni has two widgets. Both are in Sparkle and Prism.

  • Calm Mode. Tonight’s per-purchase limit while Calm Mode is on. It comes in a small Home Screen size and a Lock Screen size.

  • Stress Score. Your latest purchase and its Stress Score. It comes in a medium Home Screen size.

To add one, touch and hold your Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit, then add a widget and pick Vueni.

Notifications

Vueni sends a few kinds of notice:

  • Smart Nudge. A suggested step after a hard moment, or before an evening that has been hard lately. You can answer from the notification with Lower my limit or Not tonight.

  • Card declined over your limit. When a purchase is over a limit you set.

  • Receipt match. When a forwarded receipt matches a purchase. You can tap That’s mine or Not mine.

  • Transfers. When money you moved arrives, or if a transfer fails.

  • Return window closing. A few days before you can no longer return something, when the receipt states a return window.

  • Calm Mode ended. When your lower limit lifts.

Smart Nudges and limit declines are marked time-sensitive, because they are about right now. Time-sensitive notices can come through a Focus only if you allow it in iPhone Settings. Calm Mode ended is a quiet notice.

You stay in control

You can turn notifications off in iPhone Settings, like any app. You can remove a widget or a Live Activity at any time. With Smart Nudges only, nothing changes unless you say yes.

Questions

Can people see my spending on my Lock Screen?

The Lock Screen widget and the Live Activity show your limit and when it lifts, not your purchases. The Stress Score widget shows your latest purchase, so place it on your Home Screen only if you are comfortable with that.

Do I need Calm Mode on to use the widgets?

The Stress Score widget works any time. The Calm Mode widget and the Live Activity show a limit only while Calm Mode is on.

Are these in both plans?

Yes. Widgets, the Live Activity and notifications are in Sparkle and Prism.
