Patterns and the 30-day forecast

Key points

  • Patterns looks back over your card purchases and names what repeats, once it has a few weeks of history.

  • It shows your hard window, tonight’s run of purchases close together, and places where you have bought and then returned things.

  • Patterns uses your card activity only. It does not read sleep, wearable or lab data.

  • When Vueni finds a hard window, it can send a Smart Nudge about 15 minutes before it starts. Patterns is part of Prism.

  • The 30-day forecast is not finished. Today it appears only in the app’s demo, with example data.

What Patterns shows

Patterns looks back over your card purchases and names what repeats. It needs a few weeks of history before it has anything to say.

It shows three things:

  • Your hard window. Stressed purchases between 10 PM and 8 AM, grouped by night. If one night of the week keeps showing up across at least three weeks, Patterns names it, for example "Sunday nights", with a line such as "6 stressed purchases across 4 weeks ($566)."

  • Tonight’s run. Several purchases close together tonight, so you can see a run as it happens.

  • Buy, regret, return. Places where you have bought and then returned things before.

Patterns uses your card activity only. It does not read sleep, wearable or lab data.

Patterns is part of Prism, and you can try it in the 14-day Prism trial.

How Patterns helps

A pattern you can name is easier to plan around. When Vueni finds a hard window, it can send a Smart Nudge about 15 minutes before it starts. You can turn on Calm Mode for the night, or turn the nudge down.

The 30-day forecast

The forecast is meant to show where your balance is heading over the next 30 days. It uses money coming in and going out, bills that repeat, and refunds on their way. It shows a likely line with a range around it, so you can see how sure the estimate is.

It is not finished. Today the forecast appears only in the app’s demo, with example data. A live account does not show one yet. We will update this article when it does.

What Patterns and the forecast are not

They are not advice. They describe your own past activity. A pattern can change, and a forecast can be wrong, especially after a month that was not like your usual.

Questions

Why don’t I see any patterns?

Patterns needs a few weeks of purchases. A hard window shows only once it repeats across at least three weeks.

Does Patterns use my health data?

No. Patterns uses card activity only.

When will the forecast work on my account?

We have not set a date. It will appear on live accounts once our server can build it from your real activity.
