The Spending map is not in the Vueni app today. It will show each card purchase as a place on a map, with a list view beside it.
Card records have no street address, so Vueni combines clues on your iPhone, such as receipt addresses and, if you allow it, your location.
Every pin shows how sure Vueni is: exact, likely or approximate. If a pin is wrong, you can move it.

The Spending map is not in the Vueni app today. This article explains what we are building and how it will treat your location.
What it will show
A map of where your money went: each card purchase as a place, grouped where you spend often, with a time filter and a tap through to the purchases. A list view sits beside the map, and VoiceOver reads a short summary of it.
How Vueni works out where a purchase happened
Your card purchase record has the merchant’s name, its category and the time. It does not include a street address. So Vueni combines a few clues on your iPhone:
The address printed on your receipt, when Vueni has the receipt.
Where your phone was around the time of the purchase, if you allow location, together with a search for the merchant’s name nearby.
The location saved with a receipt photo you took in the store.
The merchant’s name alone, near where you usually shop. These pins are marked as approximate.
Your own correction. If a pin is wrong, move it, and Vueni remembers.
Online purchases go in their own group instead of on the map. Every pin shows how sure Vueni is: exact, likely or approximate.
Your location
Vueni asks for location only when you first open the map, never during sign-up.
The map still works if you say no. It uses receipts and merchant names instead.
Your location stays on your iPhone. Vueni does not send it to our servers.
Vueni keeps only what it needs to place a purchase, and you can delete your location history in Settings.

When will the Spending map be ready?
We have not set a date. We will update this article when it ships, and say which plan includes it.
Do I have to share my location?
No. Location makes the pins more accurate, but the map works without it.
Can I see where I spend today?
Not as a map yet. Each purchase in your activity shows the merchant.
