What Swiss banks are known for, and what Vueni borrows

Key points

  • Swiss banking is known for four things: stability, discretion, many currencies and a long view.

  • When Vueni opens, you can hold US dollars, Swiss francs or both, and convert at Whop’s quoted rate, shown before you confirm.

  • Your raw health readings and lab results stay on your iPhone. Only a few derived numbers can be sent to Vueni, never the readings themselves.

  • Vueni is billed once a year, and Patterns, in Prism, looks across weeks of your own activity, not one bad night.

  • Vueni is not a Swiss bank and is not supervised by FINMA. Your francs are not protected by esisuisse or by the FDIC.

Vueni is not a bank, and it is not a Swiss bank. It is a US app. Banking services and the virtual card are provided through Whop’s financial infrastructure and its partners.

Four things Swiss banks are known for

Swiss banking has a reputation built over a long time. Four ideas come up again and again:

  1. Stability. A currency with a long record of low inflation, and banks that plan for bad years.

  2. Discretion. Clients expect their affairs to stay private.

  3. Many currencies. Accounts that hold francs, euros and dollars side by side.

  4. A long view. Money managed over decades, not quarters.

What Vueni borrows

Stability: a balance in francs. When Vueni opens, you can hold a Swiss franc account, meaning a balance held in Swiss francs through Whop, our banking partner, inside your Vueni account. It gives you exposure to the franc and to Swiss inflation. The franc can fall against the dollar as well as rise.

Discretion: privacy by design. Vueni is built to know as little about your body as it can. Your raw health readings and lab results stay on your iPhone. Only a few derived numbers can be sent to Vueni, never the readings themselves. We never sell your health data and never use it for advertising.

Many currencies: dollars and francs. Hold US dollars, Swiss francs or both, and convert between them at Whop’s quoted rate, which you see before you confirm. Your card spends dollars, so a purchase draws on your dollar balance.

A long view: yearly plans and patient tools. Vueni is billed once a year, with no monthly fee. Patterns, in Prism, looks across weeks of your own activity, not one bad night. Our research looks at money and health over a lifetime.

What Vueni does not offer

  • No Swiss bank account. Your money is held through Whop with a US partner bank, not in Switzerland.

  • No Swiss regulation. Vueni is not supervised by FINMA, the Swiss financial regulator.

  • No deposit insurance on francs. Your francs are not protected by esisuisse, the Swiss deposit protection scheme, or by the FDIC.

  • No banking secrecy. US rules apply. Our banking partners verify who you are, and US reporting rules still apply to you.

  • No wealth management. Vueni does not give investment advice. It is not a licensed advisor.

Questions

Is Vueni a Swiss neobank?

No. Vueni is a US app, and it is not a bank. It lets you hold a balance in Swiss francs through Whop, our banking partner.

Will my account be private like a Swiss account?

Your health data has strict limits, set out above. Your banking information is handled by Whop and its partners under US rules, which include identity checks and reporting.

When can I hold francs?

When Vueni opens. The franc balance is part of Vueni from day one.
